Maureen Nathan

Maureen’s paintings, although figurative,  begin with abstraction and often maintain some of this in the finished work. Using colour and line to create the forms that interest her, developing some areas more than others, all her paintings have a strong basis in drawing. Her work is informed by memory and the world around her conveying something of the aliveness, frailty and depth that exists in people. Exhibitions include the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, The Royal West of England Academy and The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. She is an Artist Network member of the Royal West of England Academy, member of the Printmakers Council and education officer of Park Studios, London.
